what the term pedophila apologism actually means: legal and cultural activism attempting to achieve the legalization and normalization of relationships between grown adults and prepubescent children and/or mid teens (aka pro-contact rhetoric) 

what pedophilia apologism most certanly doesn’t mean: shipping fictional characters with a canonical age gap that squicks you; saying that kink between consenting adults is has nothing to do with pedophilia; acknowledging the existence of anti-contact maps and wanting them to have basic human rights as long as they’re not considered a danger to children; or acknowledging the existence of child molesters, who aren’t attracted to their victims

stop using terms incorrectly, you’re robbing them of their power!

what the term pedophila apologism actually means: handwaving sexual abuse of children by politicians, actors, directors, and famous individuals because you “like their work” or “think the victim’s lying anyway”, and silencing and shaming their victims through coercion, intimidation, or legal means

what pedophilia apologism most certanly doesn’t mean: 25-year-old Susie shipping sheith, any woman above the age of 18 having a “problematic” ship, shipping goddamned cartoon characters who don’t exist irl
