komaru watches her write with an awestruck look on her face. she’s so proud of each and every one of touko’s books.
komaru bakes cookies and always lets touko try them first. touko grows quite the liking to them.
they basically become the mothers to the warriors of hope, helping them through each struggle and supporting them the best they know how. touko ends up writing a very popular children’s book because of them, though it is very uncharacteristic of her style.
komaru sings a lot, and even though it’s off-key and gives her a headache, touko can’t help but find it endearing.
komaru also tries to get her to dance/enjoy popular music and trendy things. it’s a bit of a disaster at first, but touko does enjoy some of it, mainly because it’s komaru showing it to her.
touko shows komaru her favorite books. some of them kind of creep komaru out because of their dark nature, but there’s one in particular that they both cherish and talk about often. komaru probably makes silly headcanons about the characters.
they go ice skating and komaru has to keep her from falling.
touko cuts her hair and it becomes a lot easier to wash. komaru encouraged her to do so and thinks it’s v cute 👍
they hug a lot.
komaru makes them wear matching sweaters sometimes.
touko helps komaru with the plot of her manga. it actually becomes pretty well-known and well-loved. they’re known as a double threat, a brilliant author and brilliant illustrator.
picnics are a regular ritual for them.

touko often thinks about how her life turned out completely different from her wildest fantasy, but would not replace it for all the dreams in the world. she is constantly thankful for her everyday life.
touko also feels loved, beautiful and valued for who she is. komaru is happier than words can describe. the warriors of hope find eventual healing and have a loving and supportive family. it’s a win-win scenario.
