I’ve heard a lot of people bouncing around a theory that White Diamond in the new episode is really a hologram, but if she is then we’re asking the wrong question. The real question is where she’s projecting from. My theory: somewhere far far away from Homeworld, if she was worried about an assassination attempt like Pink’s. Maybe somewhere where gems hadn’t been reported for millennia after an extinction-level event. That’s right, Earth. But how? It’s kind of hard to just hide when you’re the biggest gem in the universe. Obviously she would need a form that could somehow defy geometry and hide her gem within her form. Something that would probably cripple the rest of her abilities, even speech.
