like all i want in life is for someone to tell togami that its OKAY to let people in and that caring about people =/= weakness and that its OKAY to be loved and to love in return because really hes been denied a lot of the most basic parts of the human experience from such a young age and it fucks me up so bad thinking about it

and thats why i think naegami is objectively the best possible togami pairing bc naegi is really the only one of the dr1 survivors, if anyone really, who trusts and loves wholeheartedly and is just. very in tune with his emotions overall but emotionally stable enough that togami’s scathing remarks wouldnt get to him as much as anyone else and he’d understand more than anyone just how long it takes to unlearn problematic behavior and hed be patient enough to stick around when the going gets rough and togami’s struggling with his own emotions rather than giving up and leavign thus proving togami right and setting him back and his naivety is enough to counteract togamis cynicism in a way that would be so positive for the both of them and theyd just.??? learn from eachother and grow and jsu!!!T yelling NEGAMI IS SO GOOD

  1. The umbrella, when it rains – Gundam… Gundam holds the umbrella. Sonia scooches in close and Gundam’s scarf is permanently over his face /)u()
  2. The popcorn at the cinema – Sonia does! She probably gets really into theater ‘traditions’ like big buckets of popcorn and candy and giant sodas…
  3. The baby, when it cries – Honestly Gundam. He’s good at making little animals calm down with his little “shh, it’s okay, it’s alright” stuff and I bet he’d be good with a baby too
  4. The ice cream cone, when they share – Gundam holds it and Sonia leans over to take a lick to totally fluster her big scary boyfriend B)
  5. The remote, when they sit down to watch a movie – Sonia probably, I doubt Gundam cares too much about what they watch.
  6. The basket, when they go shopping – Gundam holds it, Sonia puts stuff into it… Yeh…
  7. The door, on dates – I feel like Gundam’s the kind of guy to open doors for people, but Sonia might also… They can just hold the door open for each other and take turns.
  8. The other’s hand, most often – Sonia probably grabs Gundam’s hand a lot because I feel like he’d be too shy/embarrassed to do it first. What a cutie augh
  9. Their breath, upon seeing the other on their wedding day – I feel like both of them to an extent, but Gundam definitely because Sonia Nevermind in a beautiful princessy wedding dress?? GORGEOUS.
  10. The camera, when they take pictures together – Sonia!! She makes him take selfies with her B)

Naegami

  1. The umbrella, when it rains – Togami holds it because he’s too tall for anything else–if Naegi tried holding it, Togami would have to duck down pffft. 
  2. The popcorn at the cinema – Naegi probably does, mostly because I doubt Togami would care much for it. But maybe it’s a guilt pleasure?? Psh. Peasant food. Hand it over, Naegi.
  3. The baby, when it cries – Naegi does because Togami + a crying baby sounds like a nightmare, and I’m sure Naegi would have the patience to soothe it ❤
  4. The ice cream cone, when they share – Naegi holds it, mostly because Togami gets a kick out of grabbing Naegi’s hand/wrist to pull the cone up for a bite because Naegi probably starts blushing like the cutie he is.
  5. The remote, when they sit down to watch a movie – Definitely Togami. He’s not going to watch one of Naegi’s dumb movies. Then again, they might take turns, or have silly little fights for control of the remote that usually ends in Naegi giving up. (Togami just holds it out of his reach)
  6. The basket, when they go shopping – Naegi holds the basket, which is unfortunate considering the volume of items that Togami probably is going to purchase. Poor kid.
  7. The door, on dates – I can see this one flip flopping, mostly because Byakuya Togami?? Holding the door open for someone?? What the hell. But he does care about this person, so maybe…
  8. The other’s hand, most often – Naegi is usually the one to initiate hand holding, definitely. Togami probably gets a little flustered and tries to hide it. What a loser…
  9. Their breath, upon seeing the other on their wedding day – Togami has to try and still his beating heart because damn, Naegi looks nice in that tuxedo…
  10. The camera, when they take pictures together – Naegi does, because Togami probably doesn’t even want to take any pictures. Too bad, Togami.

like no explanation they’re just sitting there and suddenly Togami reaches over and squishes naegi’s cheeks and Naegi just looks at Togami hoping for an explanation

but there is none. togami’s expression is just B| as per usual. why is he squishing naegi’s cheeks?? nobody knows. togami probably doesn’t even know. they just looked squishy so he did it and now he’s putting on a poker face while he inwardly is freaking out because what the actual hell is he doing?????

frick okay where do i start

  • togami gets jealous really easily like… just imagine someone flirting with naegi because wow what a qt and he just ignores it because he’s too nice to say anything. and togami is like no. you stop that this is my commoner and you are not allowed to touch him just glares at the person. later he’s like. “naegi. i have decided you are not allowed to speak to that person anymore”. and naegi is like “what?? why? is it because they were flirting with me??” and togami is like “what no. you just aren’t i have decided that.” and naegi doesn’t believe that for a diddly darn minute and assures him that he loves him and that he doesn’t have to be jealous!! and togami still denies that he was jealous but they end up cuddling and;;; wow that was a lot longer and gayer then i intended i could go on further but it would only get worse
  • togami doesn’t like pda much besides maybe some hand holding but when they’re alone he gets really affectionate like he’ll go out of his way to be touching naegi and if naegi asks him about it he’ll be like “i have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about, naegi. silence yourself immediately”  naegi really likes the physical contact, though, so he doesn’t complain.
  • naegi forces togami to do fun things with him like theme parks and arcades and those date ideas people post that are more unique and actually sound p. fun. togami secretly enjoys them though he says they’re ‘ridiculous’ and ‘idiotic’ and ‘a waste of my time’ and that he only goes along with them because naegi is so insistent
