As bewildering as this may seem to a lot of people, Kazuichi is my favourite character in Danganronpa 2. He spends the entirety of his killing game in barely-suppressed terror because heās a weak, cowardly person who has none of the strength needed to deal with something like this. What he desperately needs is someone to call a friend so that he can gain some measure of reassurance and courage from that friendship – but he also just so happens to have massive trust issues due to having been bullied and betrayed in his past. He canāt bring himself to form real bonds with anyone because heās too afraid of being literally stabbed in the back. Yet at the same time, he really does just want to have friends and be acknowledged, so he hates the part of himself thatās too weak to believe in people.
So you know who would have been the perfect friend to help Kazuichi out, if only theyād been in the same killing game? A certain Luminary of the Stars, of course! Not only is Kaito the best at spotting when people are weak and giving them the support they need to deal with whatever issues are holding them back, but his principles specifically focus on believing in whoever you want to without letting yourself worry about being betrayed. Heād be so investedĀ in helping Kazuichi find the courage to do just that! They would become SUCH FRIENDS.

The baby, when it cries – Honestly Gundam. Heās good at making little animals calm down with his little āshh, itās okay, itās alrightā stuff and I bet heād be good with a baby too
The ice cream cone, when they share – Gundam holds it and Sonia leans over to take a lick to totally fluster her big scary boyfriend B)
The remote, when they sit down to watch a movie – Sonia probably, I doubt Gundam cares too much about what they watch.
The basket, when they go shopping – Gundam holds it, Sonia puts stuff into itā¦ Yehā¦
The door, on dates – I feel like Gundamās the kind of guy to open doors for people, but Sonia might alsoā¦ They can just hold the door open for each other and take turns.
The otherās hand, most often – Sonia probably grabs Gundamās hand a lot because I feel like heād be too shy/embarrassed to do it first. What a cutie augh
Their breath, upon seeing the other on their wedding day – I feel like both of them to an extent, but Gundam definitely because Sonia Nevermind in a beautiful princessy wedding dress?? GORGEOUS.
The camera, when they take pictures together – Sonia!! She makes him take selfies with her B)

The umbrella, when it rains – Togami holds it because heās too tall for anything elseāif Naegi tried holding it, Togami would have to duck down pffft.Ā
The popcorn at the cinema – Naegi probably does, mostly because I doubt Togami would care much for it. But maybe itās a guilt pleasure?? Psh. Peasant food. Hand it over, Naegi.
The baby, when it cries – Naegi does because Togami + a crying baby sounds like a nightmare, and Iām sure Naegi would have the patience to soothe it ā¤
The ice cream cone, when they share – Naegi holds it, mostly because Togami gets a kick out of grabbing Naegiās hand/wrist to pull the cone up for a bite because Naegi probably starts blushing like the cutie he is.
The remote, when they sit down to watch a movie – Definitely Togami. Heās not going to watch one of Naegiās dumb movies. Then again, they might take turns, or have silly little fights for control of the remote that usually ends in Naegi giving up. (Togami just holds it out of his reach)
The basket, when they go shopping – Naegi holds the basket, which is unfortunate considering the volume of items that Togami probably is going to purchase. Poor kid.
The door, on dates – I can see this one flip flopping, mostly because Byakuya Togami?? Holding the door open for someone?? What the hell. But heĀ does care about this person, so maybeā¦
The otherās hand, most often – Naegi is usually the one to initiate hand holding, definitely. Togami probably gets a little flustered and tries to hide it. What a loserā¦
