It’s a good show if you’re willing to ignore the drama and hey maybe you’ll find some people who aren’t dicks about it
Well my friend if you like making AUs then have I got good news for you.
Literally nonstop memes. The fandom has a knack for shitposting and it’s a sight to behold if you like that sort of stuff
The creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, for all their faults, are actually really cool dudes and really get a bad rap around Tumblr because most people try to discredit them as unfunny whiteboi assholes, even though they really aren’t. Plus they’re super supportive of the community!
Interaction with people that actually work on the show here! And they’re super nice too!
A nice mix of male and female fans, so it’s not too dominated by a certain side and you don’t get shit if you’re a “female RaM fan” at least not that I’ve seen
If you like your comedy with a side of tragedy, then this show will give you some good things to think about by tackling some heavy issues such as family divorce and alcoholism.
Awesome creator community! The fandom hosts some great artists and writers! Meet them! Support them! Love them!
Want more of the show? Read the comics! They are just as good as the show, and sometimes even better!
BAD THINGS ABOUT BEING A RICK AND MORTY FAN:
Far, far too many people in the fandom ship the titular characters together despite them being related and it’s frankly concerning.
Yeah, we like shitposting, but let’s be honest–most memes that have originated from the show itself are mediocre at best, ball-gratingly irritating at worst.
Some people literally don’t understand how to, like, be chill about anything.
“It ain’t that deep fam”.
Dudebros are a small minority of the fanbase (at least on Tumblr), but it’s basically all anyone ever associates Rick and Morty fans with these days.
Since it’s an [Adult Swim] show, updates on new seasons are literally years apart. Have fun waiting with us until Spring 2019 for that season 4 update.
